John Beaton

Senior Vice President, Operations

As Senior Vice President of Operations, John is responsible for working directly with each of the hotel teams to improve overall operational efficiency as well as working closely with senior leadership to develop and deliver on the company’s strategy and objectives. John has over 30 years of hospitality management experience, in both independent and branded hotels in the US and Canada, including major brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Wyndham and Starwood hotels.

Prior to joining Kolter Hospitality, John was the SVP of Operations at Interstate Hotels and Resorts and had direct oversight of a diverse portfolio of full-service hotels ranging from urban convention hotels to luxury resorts. Prior to being the SVP of Operations for Interstate, John handled operations for several Four Diamond Hotels, including the Westin San Diego, Westin Bristol Place Toronto and the Wyndham Windwatch in New York.
